Toby's Day 2008!

We would just to thank all those involved on the Day, especially the Cricketers who had to brave such poor weather conditions, we were very worried when we arrived the rain was steadily falling from the sky, something we have never had to deal with before, but we battled on through it, and the day was a great success again, our thanks to all you guys who helped make the day what it was! We will write a more detailed report in the next few days. Mark Bennett

The Academy's Jamie Bennett hits late season form !

Jamie Bennett hits his first Ton of the Season 122 not out v Portland 1xi for the Sunday 2xi, after dropping down from the 1xi to open the batting with Dad as we had not played together all season, after returning to the 1xi on Sunday, he batted superbly on a very wet pitch and notched up 85 v Studland.

FANTASY CRICKET LEAGUE 2008

This is a trial to see if the idea works and is just for August 2008 and uses the stats for the Saturday 1sts and 2nds only. The hope is that we can expand it next year if it works.

All the players mentioned play for the 1s or 2s - next year it will be open to all 4 teams on a Saturday. The idea is that you create your own side and their performances in whatever team for PTCC on a Saturday count towards your overall fantasy team score as per the points scoring detailedbelow. Its excatly the same as the Daily Telegraph etc just using PTCC players as a bit iof fun.

The winner is the team with the highest total points. Points will be allocated as follows:
1 point per run
10 points per wicket
10 points per stumping
5 points per catch
Each team must be made up of 4 batsman, 2 all-rounders, 1 wicket-keeper and 4 bowlers and players must be selected from the attached list only and submitted on the attached entry form. Entries can be accepted from anyone, even if they do not play in the 1s or 2s, but if your name appears on the list you must include yourself in your team!
